PROJECT 1:

SMILE INN

BRANDING

In 2019, I crafted a luxury brand identity for Smile Inn, Trinidad & Tobago’s leading cosmetic dental practice, which is proudly founded and run by women. I created a stunning new logo, guidelines, and collateral that embody exceptional quality, care, strength, and femininity, significantly elevating the practice’s brand presence. My sophisticated design features a elegant color palette with hues of gold and refined typography. To ensure seamless brand consistency, I developed comprehensive brand guidelines that dictate the visual identity across all marketing materials. This project showcases my expertise in luxury branding, logo design, and comprehensive brand development, and I’m thrilled to have successfully empowered this female-founded business with a strong, luxurious brand identity that has elevated their brand presence and patient engagement.

PROJECT 2:

SELINA HOTEL

JERSEY CITY

EXPERIENCE

When Selina was still in its infancy, Cherisse was asked to create a comprehensive experience concept for a new location in Jersey City, New Jersey, dubbed "The Most Livable City in the US" at the time. Drawing inspiration from the county's nickname, "Gateway to America," Cherisse proposed "The Gateway" concept. Through analyzing the profiles of Jersey City residents and visitors, as well as the city's rapidly evolving art and restaurant scene, Cherisse envisioned a vibrant, sophisticated, and inclusive space catering to diverse young professionals who call both Jersey City and New York City home. The concept showcased strategies to attract visitors year-round through events centered around food, culture, dance, art, and social connections. Additionally, it outlined a multi-sensory experience, including art, architecture, and interior design, as well as partnership plans. Although Selina Jersey City didn't come to fruition, ideas from Cherisse's presentation were repurposed for the successful launch of Selina NYC and locations across the US.

PROJECT 3:

GIDI CULTURE FESTIVAL BRANDING

In 2013, Cherisse was approached to create a visual identity for Gidi Culture Festival, Eclipse Live Africa’s new music and arts festival in Lagos, Nigeria, celebrating African youth culture. She developed a brand identity inspired by African warmth, sunshine, and diverse landscapes, designed the website, advertising materials, and full festival collateral. Cherisse built the Gidi Culture Festival Brand Bible and trained the festival team in Lagos on the style guide and website management. The festival has since featured top African music acts like Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, and Davido, contributing to Afrobeats' global popularity, with Cherisse’s work featured in publications like Wonderland Magazine, Okay Africa, and The Guardian Nigeria.
